- Symptoms and causes of disease
- Bacterial blight is caused by Xanthomonas Oryzae
- The disease usually appears first on the leaf edge and then gradually spreads to the leaf blade.
- When newly formed, appears a long pale green streak, then turns greyish-white.
- Lesions have a wavy margin
2. Characteristics and damaging effects
- The disease favors temperatures at 26-30ºC, with relative high humidity
- The disease enters rice leaves through stomata and mechanical wounds on leaves.
- Xanthomonas Oryzae bacteria can survive on seeds and diseased plant residues.
- Harmful bacteria at the time of flowering will reduce yield.
3. Precautionary measures
- Fertilize balance, do not over-fertilize nitrogen
- When the field shows symptoms of disease, stop using nitrogen fertilizers, foliar fertilizers, growth stimulants.
- Fields with a lot of water need to be drained (should be watered with enough water) and sprayed with pesticides.
- Chemical measures: using Map Lotus 125WP
- Specifically treats diseases caused by bacteria
- Wide spectrum of disease, fast effect
- Dosage: 25g/25liter
- Should be sprayed early when the disease appears
