Preventing and treat the bacterial on rice field

Bacteria on rice are very diverse, the bacteria that cause maize streak disease, root rot, rice brown rot disease, leaf blight, and yellow blighted rice grain disease most commonly. The disease causes damage in many stages and many parts of the plant, which lead to the loss of the yield.

When the weather is humid, sometimes foggy, especially when it is rainy and windy. Bacteria grow and spread rapidly, which can kill the rice at seedling stage; leaf blast and blighted grain in later stages. This cause the increasing in cost and reducing the yield productivity severely.

To reduce the harmful effects, MPS suggests farmers to combine cultivation practices and use specific pesticide in time when there are signs of pest at the early stage.

Because the pest develops very quickly, we should spray as soon as when there is a few plants or leaves showing pest symptoms in the field, farmers should spray before and after the rice flowering.

When Map Green covers the rice leaves, it reducing the water clinging on the, thus, enhancing the effectiveness of prevention and treatment of the solution.
