Legal Officer

Legal Officer

 

Report to : Legal Counsel and Legal Manager

 

Main duties & responsibilities

 

   - Legal consultations concerning to the company’s operation;

   - Carrying out License applications;

   - Drafting and Preparing documents to internal and external parties;

   - Updating on new regulations and amendment of laws to concerned departments;

   - Raising legal issues with management and taking prompt actions;

   - Being the Company’s representative on law issues when appointed, following up lawsuit case at the competent court.

   - Registering Promotion programs to Services of Trade or other related authorities

   - Submitting weekly and monthly report on legal related issues to internal and external (when required) parties

   - Performing training to provide necessary knowledge and understanding for staff’s adherence.

   - Supporting HR Department: consult HR on disciplinary actions and other HR Matter in compliance with legal procedures and regulations.

 

Good knowledge on the Collective Labour Agreement, company regulations and maintain secrecy on issues related to Map

 

Other duties

  •    - Submitting weekly and monthly reports to Legal Counsel/ Legal Manager
  •    - Other duties assigned by Managing Director, Director and Acting Managing Director
  •  
  • Other tasks as assigned by Superior and Board of Management
  •  

Authorization

  •    - To request for working facilities to fulfill the assigned duties
  •    - To make decisions within authorization on legal related matters
  •  

Relationships

  •    - Direct report to Legal Counsel and Legal Manager
  •    - Internal: coordinate with relevant departments in company
  •    - External: work with all authorities, external auditors, bankers, tax officers, suppliers, providers…

Core competencies and skills

 

  • Knowledge and education level:
  • - BA or MBA of Laws

     

  • Skills
  •  
  •    - Good at computer solid skill, proficient in MS Office Applications
  •    - Good command in English
  •    - Strong interpersonal skills
  •    - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  •    - Good attention to details, good judgment showing logical decision making, and a hands on approach
  •    - Good grasp of business fundamentals / processes
  •    - Good grasp of law and government regulations that can affect the manufacturing industry in Vietnam
  •  
  • Experience 
  • At least 02 year experience  in the same position
